Field Peas Strengthen
VANCOUVER - May 4/12 - SNS -- Canadian field pea markets continued to strengthen during the past week against improved export movement and limited selling interest among growers.
Recently, grower deliveries into the primary elevator system have been averaging less than 30,000 metric tons (MT) per week, resulting in a tight match between grower deliveries and export movement.
Underlying demand for field peas has been improving against a smaller then hoped rabi season harvest in Pakistan and doubts about the size of India's winter pulse harvest.
