Few Changes in Field Peas
VANCOUVER - Feb 17/12 - SNS -- International field pea markets were mostly unchanged against limited current and new crop buying interest.
Tight old crop inventories have pushed prices to levels which as discouraged more than hand to mouth buying in most destinations.
However, delegates attending the Global Pulses Conclave in India saw a glimmer of hope for field pea demand in forecasts of smaller desi chickpea harvests across the Indian subcontinent.
