Colored Bean Tone FirmsVANCOUVER - Jan 20/12 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets maintained their firm tone in relatively active trading for colored beans during the past week. The Mexican government assigned import quota covering 100,000 metric tons (MT) of dry edible beans during the past week, with almost half the total going to two companies. Since beans grown in Canada and the United States enter Mexico duty free, the duty free import quotas will be used to buy product from Argentina and elsewhere.
