Lackluster Tone in Peas
VANCOUVER - Jan 13/12 - SNS -- Field pea markets retained their lackluster tone in light trading during the past week. Market participation is being strongly affected by volatility in currency markets.
Customers in many of the key markets do not always have the ability to hedge currency when they make purchases.
When currency markets become volatile, they tend to step back, waiting for exchange rates to stabilize in a narrower band, whether higher or lower, before becoming more active.
