Edible Beans Unchanged to Firmer

VANCOUVER - Dec 3/11 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets were unchanged to firmer on the week in the face of relatively quiet trading conditions.

This was reflected in the spot market index for U.S. origin beans, which gained three points on the week to finish at 1699, while the grower index rose four points to 1560.

White beans remain the strongest segment of the bean trade on account of limited supplies of good quality product from Argentina and reduced output in North America.
