Weak Canadian Dollar Nudges Peas Lower

VANCOUVER - Nov 26/11 - SNS -- Some of last week's sharp drop in the value of the Canadian dollar was shared with buyers, with asking prices for green and yellow peas slipping on the week.

Though exporters continue to add vessels to the lineup in Vancouver, most market participants report relatively quiet trading conditions.

Actual and prospective shipments of peas through Canada's bulk terminals through the end of the calendar year is currently running about 180,000 metric tons (MT) behind last year.
