Tightening Stocks Keep Peas Firm
VANCOUVER - Nov 5/11 - SNS -- Field pea markets finished the week little changed against relatively light trading interest.
The pace of farmer selling in Canada has slowed slightly, reflecting tightening stocks on farms.
Deliveries into the primary elevator system totalled 762,000 metric tons (MT) by the end of October or 30% of all peas available on farmers, compared to 806,400 MT or 21% of the available supply of peas on farms during the same period last year.
