Green Pea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/11 - STAT -- Canadian Green Pea markets finished the 2010-11 marketing year with prices offered to growers slipping 3% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Green Pea was CDN$261.20 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $269.49 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $319.21 per MT in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $188.53 per MT in August.
