Maple Pea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/11 - STAT -- Canadian Maple Pea markets finished the 2010-11 marketing year with prices offered to growers rising 5% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Maple Pea was CDN$307.02 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $292.95 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $332.99 per MT in February, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $254.91 per MT in April.
