Pea Markets Continue Easing

VANCOUVER - Jul 30/11 - SNS -- International field pea markets continued to ease during the past week against new crop competition from central and western European suppliers.

While grower bids in France were steady on the week, grower bids in the United Kingdom were down in the face of rising competition for available demand.

Markets in the United States remain confident that the impasse in Washington over raising the government's borrowing limit will not affect demand for split peas for shipment as food aid.
