French Pea Exports Steady in May
VANCOUVER - Jul 7/11 - SNS -- Field pea exports maintained their steady pace through May, rising above year earlier levels, but being little changed from the quantity shipped in April, judging from the latest data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Exports during the month totalled 28,475 metric tons (MT), up from the 27,425 MT shipped in April and up from the 25,870 MT of field peas exported the same month the previous year.
This lifts field pea exports so far during the 2010-11 marketing year to 324,475 MT, versus 180,870 MT last season.
