Myanmar's Bean Exports Continue Slide
VANCOUVER - Dec 22/10 - SNS -- Dry edible bean and pulse exports from Myanmar continued to slow in November, with total shipments falling well below month and year earlier levels.
Exports in November totalled 46,277 metric tons (MT), down 35% from the same period in 2009. Of the total, 60% went to India; 19% to China and 9% to Indonesia.
Matpe (black gram) accounted for 58% of the total exports, followed by mung bean (green gram) 30% and toor whole (pigeon pea) 10%.
