Beans Pass Over USDA Numbers

VANCOUVER - Dec 11/10 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading little changed in seasonally light trading conditions.

This was reflected in the spot market index from dry edible beans in the United States, which slipped two points on the week to finish at 947. By contrast, the index for grower bids in the United States was unchanged at 839.

The USDA pegged this year's harvest at 1.42 million metric tons (MT), up from 1.1 million last year and the first time since 1999 that output has topped 1.4 million MT.
