USDA Buys 3,770 MT Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Oct 20/10 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 3,770 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 100A, the USDA is buying dry edible beans packed in 50 kg bags as well as 6/4 pounds packages for delivery to Gulf ports.
The beans in 50 kg bags are for shipment from interior plants between November 16 to December 7 and between December 8 to December 29 for plants located at port. The beans packed in 6/4 pound packages are for shipment from inland plants from Nov. 1 to Nov. 15, 2010 and/or Nov. 16 to Nov. 30, 2010. Shipping periods for plants located at the port: Nov. 16 to Nov. 30, 2010 and/or Dec. 1 to Dec. 15, 2010
