French Pea Exports Jump in August
VANCOUVER - Oct 14/10 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France during the first two months of the current marketing year are now more than double last year, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Exports during August totalled 78,555 metric tons (MT), up from the 15,900 MT shipped in July and more than double the 35,165 MT of field peas exported the same month last year.
This lifts field pea exports so far during the 2010-11 marketing year to 94,455 MT, versus 42,750 MT last year.
