Strong Finish For Field Peas
VANCOUVER - Oct 10/10 - SNS -- North American field pea markets finished the week's trading on a strong note despite forecasts of a record pulse harvest in India in 2010-11.
The country's agriculture minister is looking for combined kharif and rabi season output to reach 16.5 million metric tons (MT).
This year's kharif area is now sitting at 11.593 million hectares, up from 9.766 million last year.
