Few Changes in Peas
VANCOUVER - Oct 1/10 - SNS -- Field pea markets were little changed during the past week, as solid progress with this year's harvest vastly improved the supply of peas available from growers.
The harvest started the week 80% complete, and with excellent harvest weather forecast through the end of the coming week.
Growers have been able to clear considerable bin space in front of the harvest because of a record pace for bulk pea movement from Canada in the August through October quarter of the 2010-11 marketing year.
