Edible Beans Poorly Defined

VANCOIUVER - Sep 4/10 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets in North America finished the week poorly defined as markets, with market participants making the transition back into to work mode as the summer holiday period ends.

This left the spot market index for U.S. origin beans unchanged at 935, while the spot grower bid index was also unchanged at 869 against expectations of record yields on a higher seeded area.

International markets finished the week on a somewhat firmer note as demand inched ahead of immediately available supplies of white and colored beans.
