Beans Transition Into New Crop
VANCOUVER - Aug 21/10 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets in North America are starting the transition into a new crop pricing basis. led by a reduction in average grower bids.
This left the spot market index for U.S. origin beans unchanged at 1016 points, while the spot grower bid index was down 31 points at 901.
International markets, by contrast, finished the week on a relatively firm note against good demand from Algeria and Turkey for shipment through the end of October.
