Large Yellow Pea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 9/10 - STAT -- Canadian Large Yellow Pea markets finished the 2009-10 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 24% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Large Yellow Pea was CDN$191.86 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $252.29 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $230.79 per MT in August, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $167.83 per MT in June.
