Pinto Bean Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 9/10 - STAT -- Canadian Pinto Bean markets finished the 2009-10 marketing year with prices offered to growers advancing 7% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Pinto Bean was CDN$31.18 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $29.24 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $32.98 per cwt in February, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $25.63 per cwt in October.
