Black Bean Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 9/10 - STAT -- Canadian Black Bean markets finished the 2009-10 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 8% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Black Bean was CDN$30.78 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $33.39 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $34.92 per cwt in August, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $28.80 per cwt in October.
