Small Red Bean Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 9/10 - STAT -- Canadian Small Red Bean markets finished the 2009-10 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 11% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Small Red Bean was CDN$33.26 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $37.37 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $36.23 per cwt in October, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $31.50 per cwt in April.
