Navy Bean Grower Price Review in Canada

VANCOUVER - Aug 9/10 - STAT -- Canadian Navy Bean markets finished the 2009-10 marketing year with prices offered to growers easing 1% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.

The average price paid for Navy Bean was CDN$27.90 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $28.25 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.

Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $28.93 per cwt in February, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $25.45 per cwt in September.
