Green Pea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 9/10 - STAT -- Canadian Green Pea markets finished the 2009-10 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 17% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Green Pea was CDN$248.20 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $299.19 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $293.95 per MT in December, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $176.83 per MT in April.
