Lentils Exports From Australia Reveal Weak Month

PANAMA - Jun 6/24 - SNS -- So far during this marketing year posted a weaker performance, with lentils export shipments from Australia sank compared to the previous month in April, judging from trade data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.

Total movement during the month reached 116,768 metric tons (MT), down 34% from the previous month's total of 177,662. So far export sales have totalled 847,272 MT, up from 821,608 in the same period the previous marketing year.

During the month, Bangladesh was the biggest importer, buying 40,053 MT. India was the second most important consumer buying 25,897 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 17,719 MT.
