WINNIPEG - Oct 1/24 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 2,700 metric tons (MT) lentils were loaded for export through licensed facilities which are required to report to it all grain movement in August.
The CGC reports 24,600 MT were shipped the same month last year, while movement is up from the 123,600 MT shipped the previous month.
This lifted bulk loadings for the marketing year to 2,700 MT, compared to 24,600 MT last season.
Of bulk lentils shipped during the month, none moved through Vancouver; none went through Thunder Bay; and 2,700 MT were shipped direct from Prairie elevators to North American destinations.
Reviewing lentil shipments by destination for the month, the CGC said 1,200 MT if No 1 Canada wennt to Mexico; and 1,400 MT of No 1 Canada to the United States.
