Italy's Field Pea Imports Post Soft Performance
PANAMA - May 21/24 - SNS -- Italy's imports of field peas in March were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.
Imports reached 9,955 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 19% from the 12,299 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 37,100 MT, compared to 26,312 during the last calendar year.
The most recent trade data showed Russia was biggest origin, shipping 7,890 MT. Ukraine was the second most important origin supplying 1,147 MT, followed by Argentina at 819 MT.
