Field Pea Imports By Italy Record Easy Opening
PANAMA - Mar 18/24 - SNS -- Are starting the current calendar year posteda weaker month, with field pea imports for Italy were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in January, according to official trade statistics from Eurostat.
Imports during the first month of the calendar year totalled 13,491 metric tons (MT), down 52% from 28,042 MT the previous month. The data showed imports is up 70% from the 7,928 MT recorded for the same month last year.
Russia was the number one export origin during the month, shipping 11,000 MT. Ukraine was the second most important exporter supplying 1,833 MT, followed by Canada at 377 MT.
