Field Pea Imports By Turkey Post Soft Month
PANAMA - Mar 1/23 - SNS -- Imports of field peas for Turkey shrank compared to the previous month in December, trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Imports reached 30,190 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 62% from the 80,172 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 491,221 MT, versus 221,619 during the last calendar year.
Current movement data reported Russia was biggest origin, supplying 21,873 MT for the month. Ukraine was the second most important supplier selling 7,047 MT, followed by Canada at 597 MT.
