Canada's Green Pea Exports Reveal Soft Month
PANAMA - Feb 7/23 - SNS -- Movement of green peas for Canada were little changed, dropping versus the previous month in December, trade data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Export sales totalled 12,850 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 4% from the 13,352 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 67,526 MT, versus 51,236 during the previous marketing year.
Recent trade statistics showed China was number one importer, receiving 3,975 MT in the month. United States was the second most important destination receiving 1,162 MT, followed by Philippines at 1,046 MT.
