Harvest Advances Pressure Peas
PANAMA - Sep 9/22 - SNS -- North American field pea markets finished the week's trading on a generally easier note, reflecting improved availability of new crop product from farmers.
Markets remain somewhat anxious about the coming production estimates for both Canada and the United States, unsure if output will end up lower than average in parts of the U.S. growing area and what yields Canada will apply on a provincial basis.
Its is worth noting that initial yields forecasts from provincial agriculture departments are more optimistic than Statistics Canada for Manitoba and Alberta, but less optimistic for Saskatchewan.
