Field Pea Exports From Canada Maintain Weak Tone
PANAMA - Sep 7/22 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of field peas during July fell compared to the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Movement for the month totalled 117,638 metric tons (MT), down from 173,714 MT the previous month. This boosted shipments so far during the marketing year to 1,916,877, down 47% last year.
During the month, China was the most important destination, receiving 77,331 MT. United States was the second most important consumer receiving 22,609 MT, followed by Philippines at 3,872 MT.
