Canada's Green Pea Exports Reveal Better Result
PANAMA - Sep 7/22 - SNS -- So far during this marketing year recorded a stronger performance, with green pea movement from Canada showed modest gains, advancing compared to the previous month in July, according to trade data from Statistics Canada.
Exports for the month totalled 9,495 metric tons (MT), up from 8,605 MT the prior month. This increased export sales so far during the marketing year to 111,863, down 58% last year.
The latest trade data revealed China was number one consumer, buying 2,350 MT. Philippines was the second most important importer taking 1,749 MT, followed by Colombia at 1,215 MT.
