Canada's Field Pea Exports Record A Improved Result
PANAMA - May 4/22 - SNS -- So far during the current marketing year posted a a better result, with field pea movement for Canada leapt compared to the previous month in March, according to the most recent statistics from Statistics Canada.
Export sales for the month totalled 232,537 metric tons (MT), up from 65,811 MT the prior month. This increased export sales so far during the marketing year to 1,340,329, down 51% last year.
The latest movement statistics showed China was number one consumer, buying 188,381 MT. United States was the second most important destination buying 29,354 MT, followed by Philippines at 3,707 MT.
