Canada's Green Pea Exports Record A Strong Result
PANAMA - May 4/22 - SNS -- Movement of green peas from Canada posted massive gains, jumping compared to the previous month in March, available data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Export sales reached 15,639 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 396% from the 3,153 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 72,785 MT, versus 151,852 in the same period the last marketing year.
For the month, China was the top importer, taking 10,478 MT. Philippines was the second most important importer taking 1,704 MT, followed by Belgium at 920 MT.
