Canada's Yellow Pea Exports Record A Better Performance
PANAMA - May 4/22 - SNS -- Canada's movement of yellow peas in March were up sharply, soaring compared to the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Export sales for the month totalled 170,676 metric tons (MT), up from 31,577 MT the previous month. This boosted export sales so far during the marketing year to 948,007, down 59% last year.
The latest trade data showed China was biggest buyer, buying 165,730 MT. United States was the second most important buyer buying 3,720 MT, followed by Mexico at 322 MT.
