Field Pea Exports From Russia Start On Strong Note
PANAMA - May 3/22 - SNS -- Russia's export shipments of field peas during January rose slightly versus the previous month, according to data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.
Shipments for the first month of the calendar year totalled 130,221 metric tons (MT), up 11% from 117,229 MT the previous month. The data revealed movement was up 320% from the 31,031 MT reported for the same month last year.
The top consumer during the month was Bangladesh, taking 43,301 MT. Turkey was the second most important destination taking 15,931 MT, followed by Italy at 14,464 MT.
