Relative Strength In Peas

PANAMA - Apr 8/22 - SNS -- International field pea markets ended the week's trading on a relatively firm note, helped by an improved pace of export movement from key origins such as Canada.

Official exports for February reveal 65,797 metric tons (MT) left the country, with at least 30,000 MT moving by rain, truck or in containers.

Data through the end of March from the Canadian Grain Commission indicates 164,400 MT of peas were loaded for bulk export during the month. Part of that will be counted as exports in April because official exports are based on the bill of lading date.
