Field Pea Exports From Canada Post A Strong Performance
PANAMA - Apr 5/22 - SNS -- Exports of field peas from Canada were up sharply, jumping relative to the previous month in February, the most recent data from Statistics Canada reports.
Export sales totalled 65,797 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 61% from the 40,944 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 1,106,980 MT, compared to 2,454,632 in the same period the previous marketing year.
The most recent movement statistics revealed China was number one consumer, taking 35,683 MT. United States was the second most important buyer taking 21,449 MT, followed by Philippines at 2,036 MT.
