Green Pea Exports From Canada Open On Weak Tone
PANAMA - Apr 5/22 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of green peas during February dropped compared to the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Total export sales throughout the month reached 3,155 metric tons (MT), down 6% from the previous month's total of 3,352. So far movement has amounted to 57,148 MT, down from 129,796 in the same period the last marketing year.
China was the number one consumer for the month, taking 1,041 MT. Colombia was the second most important consumer receiving 474 MT, followed by Belgium at 332 MT.
