Yellow Pea Exports From Canada Record A Better Performance
PANAMA - Apr 5/22 - SNS -- Canada's shipments of yellow peas in February were up sharply, leaping versus the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Export sales totalled 31,579 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 302% from the 7,850 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 777,334 MT, versus 2,088,473 in the same period the previous marketing year.
Recent trade data showed China was biggest buyer, buying 26,530 MT during the month. United States was the second most important importer taking 3,678 MT, followed by Philippines at 375 MT.
