PANAMA - Aug 5/21 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets maintained their firm tone through the past week, supported by doubts of crops in key parts of the United States.

This was reflected in the dry edible bean price index for the United States, which advanced 2.8 points on the week to finish at 105.4, for the fifth week over week increase.

At the same time, the global pulse price index gained 2.8 points to close at 98.6 while the Canadian index jumped 3.5 points to finish at 102.2 points, the first time it has been over 100 points since the first half of 2016.
