Peas Maintain Firm Tone
PANAMA - Jul 24/21 - SNS -- International field pea markets maintained their firm tone in limited trading activity because of fears about the size of the North American harvests.
Crops in key growing areas in the United States and western Canada continue to experience hot and dry conditions, resulting in more rapid crop development and the beginning of harvest activity in the United States.
Markets are keenly interested in the August 30 production estimates for Canada. Yields are expected to be below average, the question is by what degree.
