Canada's Field Pea Exports Continue Solid Tone
PANAMA - Jul 2/21 - SNS -- At this point in this marketing year continued their firmer tone, with field pea export shipments for Canada were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month in May, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Total movement for the month reached 361,926 metric tons (MT), up 30% from the previous month's total of 278,778. So far shipments have reached 3,367,902 MT, up from 3,240,583 during the previous marketing year.
During the month, China was the most important buyer, taking 174,898 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important importer taking 100,518 MT, followed by Cuba at 26,000 MT.
