Canada's Green Pea Exports Reveal Better Performance
PANAMA - Jul 2/21 - SNS -- So far during the marketing year posted a stronger performance, with green pea export shipments for Canada rocketed relative to the previous month in May, judging from the most recent statistics from Statistics Canada.
Shipments totalled 52,707 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 175% from the 19,198 MT exported the previous month. Shipments so far total 223,357 MT, versus 276,266 in the same period the previous marketing year.
China was the biggest destination during the month, receiving 30,602 MT. Nepal was the second most important consumer buying 14,594 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 2,350 MT.
