Canada's Yellow Pea Exports Continue Solid Trend
PANAMA - Jul 2/21 - SNS -- So far during the marketing year are maintaining their stronger trend, with yellow pea movement for Canada jumped relative to the previous month in May, judging from trade data from Statistics Canada.
Exports totalled 263,463 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 29% from the 204,007 MT exported the previous month. Export sales so far total 2,760,703 MT, compared to 2,668,071 in the same period the last marketing year.
During the month, China was the number one buyer, receiving 119,664 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important consumer receiving 100,311 MT, followed by Cuba at 26,000 MT.
