Domestic Competition Helping Grower Bids
PANAMA - Feb 19/21 - SNS -- Field pea markets finished the week's trading on a relatively firm note, with offers from growers just keeping pace with the needs of processors and exporters.
Competition for domestic supplies of peas is also improving as more of the new fractionation plants come on stream and work to bring production levels close to capacity.
Rising competition for product between export and domestic markets is another factor contributing to solid improvements in grower bid levels since the start of the 2020-21 marketing year
