Few Changes in ABARES Update

SYDNEY - Feb 15/21 - SNS -- There were few major changes to production levels for pulses in the latest update from the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences.

Output of the five main pulses grown in the country was pegged at 2.937 million metric tons (MT), up from the November forecast of 2.87 million and well above the 1.856 million produced the previous year.

The most significant increase in chickpeas, which advanced from 281,000 MT last year to 755,000, up from November's 737,000 MT estimate.
