Field Pea Exports From Canada Maintain Solid Performance
PANAMA - Feb 5/21 - SNS -- Canada's exports of field peas in December recorded major advances, advancing compared to the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Total export sales for the month amounted to 327,451 metric tons (MT), up 54% from the previous month's total of 212,737. So far shipments have amounted to 1,866,760 MT, up from 1,740,574 in the same period the previous marketing year.
The largest consumer during the month was China, receiving 274,034 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important destination taking 21,500 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 6,972 MT.
